Wisconsin Public Television is doing a documentary on Juneau County and they are looking for Juneau County residents that have interesting stories to tell about our history.  They would also like residents that are well connected to the communities to join in and direct them to potential spots of interest or pictures that they can use.  All are invited.  County wide meetings to find out about this project are December 6th in 3 of our communities

All Aboard!

New Lisbon history is founded upon the railroad reaching its boundaries in 1857.  All life pulsed around the tracks for a means of transportation, exporting local crops, mail, freight, and receiving products from other parts of the country.

School Library

Of course this blog wouldn't be complete without a photo of the FIRST school library at New Lisbon Schools! Students would tell the librarian which book they would like to read and she would collect the book from the shelf. No one else was allowed to touch the books. Can you imagine?
